SMC introduced Energy Saving Machine Lamp by transforming incandescent bulb to CFL

To contribute to the energy saving initiative, Surya Marketing Corporation has converted all their incandescent lighting to LED based lighting.

Incandescent lamps were first converted to CFL lamps, while CFL lamps were in turn converted to LED lamps. Incandescent lamps had high wattage use, while the new LED lamps had comparatively very low wattage use. While each incandescent lamp used 60 Watt, each CFL lamp used 11 Watt and now each LED lamp uses 7 Watt. Thus, from incandescent lamps to CFL lamps, each lamp saved 49 Watt of energy, while from CFL lamps to LED lamps, each lamp saved further 4 Watt of energy.
